A first look at Profit Lance - Functional, Informational, Practical

Having purchased the Profit lance course on 1st August 2007, I have been reading, and seriously reading, through the overwhelming load of information the course offers. I thought I would blog down what I do with the course everyday, including my earning activities. I am sure this blog will benefit everyone is some way.

Functionality

The course comes in the form of two parts:

• A comprehensive Learning Centre
• A Resource Centre that includes your project tasks, tips & tricks, articles, videos, a private member's blog and many more.

The site itself is structured in such a way that information can be easily accessed in categories.

Informational

I have read review sites and forums that compare the Profit Lance course to The Rich Jerk. The primary comparison here lies in:

• The Rich Jerk is a better course for beginners and a faster way to make money whereas
• the Profit Lance course covers in-depth stuff that goes beyond the beginner stage. For a beginner, you will have to go through the entire course to start making money (and I would say if you spend at least 5 hrs per day reading the material in the course, you are likely to get a grasp of it in a week). It is a slower process.

In my opinion, what the course offers is fully comprehendable by beginners as well as intermediates. The outlines of the Learning Centre comes in short, constructive articles, accompanied by video tutorials as well as ebooks. Video tutorials are extremely useful as Mike tries to break down his lessons in simple diagrams and full-length explanations.

Practicality

The most beneficial aspect of this course is that it offers practical lessons, i.e the Projects section. Under the Projects section, you are given a series of tasks that you have to complete in order to get the most hands on experience which what you have read/watched in the Learning Centre. The Profit Lance Course comes with 15 fully-functional and expertly designed website. These websites enable you to practise your newly acquired skills. Most impressive is the 'tasks 'under the Projects section. Profit Lance is an informational package and undoubtedly, one will get confused in the attempt to absorb the information. The tasks in the Projects section helps to set things on the right track. It helps you to understand the rationale behind implementing such concepts.

I, therefore, highly recommend the Profit Lance course, not because I am a proud affiliate, but because it instills long term skills in you that helps you to build your own internet business. As Mike likes to say, "Chase after the skills and the money will follow, chase after the money and you will learn nothing" (something along those lines - basically he means, if you have the necessary skills, you will be able to make money but if you don't, the money you earn will be only temporary. Think of a talented musician. He has musical skills and no matter where he goes, he will be able to make money. On the other hand, think of a person who utilises this musician to make money. His earnings are only temporary because without the musician, he has no revenue.)

I have to go back to finishing the course, (trust me! there is so much to learn).
